Research aim

What are the overall aims of the project?

The overall aim of my subject is to find out what is the different technique of expression in comedy films in different areas, for example, dialogue and action. In some places, there are many dialogues to show funny in comedy films. But in other places, there are many actions in comedy films. To do more research about dialogues and actions so that I could make out a comedy film that can be successfully combined them together, and give character the biggest development. I need do some explored and experiment with comedy films’ dialogues and action.

Research objectives 

1.    Literature survey

a. What affect this two technique of expression by different place used in comedy films?

b. How can dialogues and action be successfully combined.

c. Key techniques for directing actors.

2. Film analysis

a. To understand how to do a successful comedy film.

b. The detail of mise en scene, cinematography, editing, and sound.

c. Ways characters are developed using dialogues in comedy films.

d. Ways characters are developed using action in comedy films.

3. Experimenting

a. To write three to five scripts about comedy films, one is used dialogue, second is used action, third is used many dialogues and some action, fourth is used much action and some dialogue, the final one is half and half.

b. To make out these films and combine them, choose the best one what successfully combined dialogues and action.

4. Presentation

a. Conclusion my research.

b. Explain my work in my presentation

c. Show my 3 to 4 audio-visual experiments

d. One short film based on the conclusions of my research.

With the help of teacher, I understand how to write it, and my tutor told me my research subject has not detail, film style is a huge question, I need make sure a more detail part about film style, so I decide research about acting.
